Could the size of the community banner on the Forums home page be reduced?

Hi beloved Communiteam 💙

After a week or 2 on the new Community UI, I am suffering a bit from reduced productivity ... 

The Forums homepage (the page behind this link) has a huge banner at the top that is always there. This page holds the feed I use as my starting point when answering questions, the area where I contribute the most.

The banner size reduces the view of what I really want to see on this page to a tiny area at the bottom of this page, as you can see here:

Is there any chance the banner can be removed or drastically reduced in size, so more space is freed up for the actual question thread?

My productivity and overall gratitude will increase significantly with such an update 😛
