At some point the documentation at developer.atlassian.com/cloud/compass had a lot more topics in it. For example see below the list of topics under the "Components" section as of today vs earlier.
I also see some kinda overlapping (but very different and less detailed) content over at support.atlassian.com/compass/docs, but it's also a fraction of the old content.
I think I heard somebody at Atlassian mention a while ago that the docs were being reworked, so hopefully this is just an awkward interim state and eventually all those topics will be back (right?). Various in-app help links in the Compass UI still include links to those now-missing pages.

Yes there was a migration to a new docs area. You should be able to see the articles on https://support.atlassian.com/compass/resources/ under the various sections. It is a bit nested, so you may need to click down into them from the landing page, but I didn't think that anything has been removed.
Docs specific to developers remain at https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/compass/
Please let the team know if you find anything is missing or if you have feedback, and I can send it along to the team to take a look.
Best,
Patrick Brady
I will spend more time with the new docs area. It is very different. I'll try to respond with some feedback after I give it an honest try.
That said, I think Atlassian should scan the Compass webapp to find any broken links to the old content URLs and replace them with wherever they live in the new docs site.

My initial friction with the new site is a lack of a content tree, such as the one shown in the second screenshot in my original post from the old site.
