The Confluence databases team has been hard at work, and we’re excited to share a fresh batch of updates designed to make your database experience more collaborative, flexible, and visually delightful than ever before!

👀 Live Presence: Real-Time Collaboration Arrives

Ever wondered who else is working in your database? With Live Presence, you’ll now see your teammates as they view, select, or edit entries - across table, board, and card (gallery) views. Avatars and colored outlines make it easy to spot collaborators, and hovering reveals who’s editing what. No more accidental overwrites or wondering who’s making changes - just seamless teamwork, right where you work.

🖼️ Board & Gallery: A Modern Visual Refresh

We’ve given the board and card layouts a major facelift - introducing the new Gallery view (formerly known as ‘Card layout’)! Cards now look cleaner, with the most important info front and center, and you can show/hide field names or hide fields to keep things tidy. We hoped to deliver a modern, intuitive experience that makes managing and browsing your data a breeze.

🔄 Jira 2-Way Sync: Edit Jira Work Items Directly from Your Database

No more tab-switching! With Jira 2-way sync, you can now edit key Jira fields (Summary, Assignee, Status, and Priority) right from your Confluence database. Changes sync instantly back to Jira, so your team stays aligned and your data stays up to date. Perfect for project managers, marketers, or anyone who wants to keep work moving without context switching!

(P.S We’ve heard your requests for Live Jira import i.e. pinning a JQL query to your DB and we’re looking into it!).

Getting started is easier than ever with a revamped setup panel and a growing library of templates. Browse templates visually as cards or lists to find the perfect starting point for your next project - whether it’s a content calendar, budget, or campaign tracker.
