Feature Request: Import/export users by ID (CSV import)

I'd like to be able to import from CSV using 'user id'. It should also be possible to export user data as user id rather than just text.

This capability exists in Assets which allows export in 'user friendly' (text) and 'consistent' (id) format.  I can also export user data from the admin user management screen. In all cases, the user id is the unique identifier. 

Currently, if user data is imported as text it is not recognised as user data and changing field type to 'user' causes text to be wiped (unsurprisingly).

One obvious use case is to be able to use confluence databases to create dataset (inc user data) for upload into Assets.  Right now, it's back to excel for this exercise...

Hi, @Paul O. The best/official way to submit an enhancement request to Atlassian is through their established systems for such things.

Otherwise, you're relying on a 'happy coincidence' that the right person from Atlassian will see your post here. That does happen, but it's not foolproof.
