Hi all,
I am curious, because I couldn't really find any other topic about this subject. We are testing databases with a few different use cases and we experience a very noticeable delay in opening the database, even though its practically empty or has at most 40 to 50 entries.
If I compare this to for example Notion, there the database shows up instantly.
I have tried this now as well on my personal test instance and I see the same delay as well, so I don't think its related to our instance.
I have uploaded an example here: https://app.screencast.com/2ZK4j9PN12sJm
Thanks!
Stefan

I agree with this. I've got a dataset with hundreds of records which shouldn't be much in the grand scheme of things. Whenever I scroll, there is a few seconds of loading time which makes it hard to scroll through to find a row in its context
Hey @Stefan Froehlich thanks for tagging me here, the team is looking into the issue. We'll message here once we have updates!
Hi @Stefan Froelich Thank you for raising this important concern.
I experience a generic slowness across the entire database. However, I can see some noticeable improvement in the past few days.
@Rachel Li are there any known limitations on the size of the databases, or any recommendations for the structure? Maximum number of rows/columns/views?
Also, I have seen mentions of exact sizes as limits (5MB?) - how do you measure the size of the database?
Thank you.
Hi team!
We've landed some improvements which should render recently viewed databases almost instantly.
We'll be working on improving load times for newly created databases and scrolling performance soon.
Cheers,
Alex!
