Feature request - Freeze first column

Hi,

Would it be possible to have a setting to freeze the first column? Asking because, when you have many columns which makes you scroll to the right, it's hard to keep track on which row you were looking at.

Alternately, having banded rows (grey - white) would be also be a nice solution.

It really is atrocious UX not being able to freeze columns... @Christina Ristevski is this on the roadmap? :(
