Help Shape the Future of Folders! 📁

Hey everyone! 👋 I’m Abhinav, product manager working on Folders in Confluence.

It’s been about 9 months since we launched folders, and the response so far has been incredibly encouraging. We’ve seen folks use them in all sorts of creative ways, and I’d love to chat with a few of you who’ve been using them extensively.

We’re currently exploring Folder Views (yay!), and I’d love to hear what’s working well for you, what you’d like to see improved, and share a quick sneak peek of some early design ideas to get your thoughts.

If you’re open to a quick 30-minute conversation next week, feel free to grab a slot on my calendar here:

Calendar Link — I’d really appreciate your input!

Looking forward to chatting 🙌

Hi @Abhinav Singh

I find folders (almost) perfect as they are: just structuring elements without own content. So I'd probably not the right one to discuss Folder Views in detail.

But there's one thing I'd really appreciate you to make it possible: please allow folders to have same names in the same space!

There are so many use cases where you want to have the same kind of information structured in the same way, just for different entities.

Let's imagine I want to store all our Operations documentation for all teams in a central space. I'd create a folder for each team with sub-folders like backup procedures, monitoring, knowledge base etc. - all these sub-folders would be the same for all teams (and should be, to make it easy to navigate through the documentation of different teams), but as of now I can't do it, because same names are not allowed.

So, this would be really helpful and supportive in order to structure information!
