I edited a new page just for learning by doing, but didn´t publish it. Now I want so safe a page with content but the program tells me that there´s already an existing page with this name. I cant´t find the page anywhere in my drafts.
What to do? Does anybody know how to solve the problem?
Hi David,
This sounds like a common issue in Confluence where an unpublished page (draft) with the same name is still saved in the background, even if you don’t see it in your drafts list.
Here are a few things you can try:
1. Check “Recently Worked On” Pages
Go to your profile → Recently worked on. Sometimes the draft is stored there and not under “My drafts.”
2. Ask a Space Admin
If you still can’t find it, a space admin might be able to find and delete the hidden draft. Sometimes these drafts get stuck and only admins can clear them.
3. Use a Slightly Different Name
As a quick workaround, try saving your new page with a slightly different name. You can rename it later once the original draft is removed.
Hope this helps! Let us know if it works for you.
