A question on comments

Darren Walker November 14, 2012

I'm new to confluence and I've been trying to find some information on moving the comments section which appears to be at the end of every page to a tab or somewhere else. I'm happy to keep the comments rather than disabling them but the comments area takes up too much space and it is not appropriate to have comments on every page. Also if there are lots of comments when going to that page it auto scrolls to the bottom of the comments rather than showing the page contents.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

DW

Hello Darren,

Actually in Confluence is not possible to move the comments for another page, what can be done here is to disable the comments as you mentioned in your post or display them as:

  • Threaded – shows the comments in a hierarchy of responses and each subsequent reply to a comment is indented to indicate the relationships between the comments;
  • Flat – displays all the comments in a single list and does not indicate the relationships between comments;

This is what can be done, I hope this helps.

Best Regards,

LJ.
