We're looking for a way to include information that is visible on the original confluence page, but is not included (or at least not visible) on any confluence pages where the original page is referenced via the Page Include Macro.

Currently we're using the Page Properties macro and keeping it hidden, but that also hides the information on the original confluence page as well.

@Taylor Laffey Welcome to the community!

Looking at this from another point of view, would it make sense to:

  • Not include the text you don't want everyone to see on the original page. You could then include the page elsewhere and not worry about the special text.
  • Include the original page in another page where you then add in the special text.

I guess there would be issues if you wanted the other text in between the text of the full page, but you could then use the Excerpt Macro on the original page to make excerpts and use Excerpt Include macros to insert the special text in between.

You can even place the original page in an Inclusions Library, so it is not visible in the page tree.

See https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/use-confluence-for-technical-documentation/ for information on the Excerpt, Excerpt Include, and Include Page macros, as well as Inclusions Libraries.
