AJP Connector - Cannot open pdf attachment

Confluence 5.1.3 access through Apache Reverse Proxy using the AJP Protocol. PDF attachments can't be opened through IE/Chrome. The same situation apperead if as a user I try to download a pdf file from confluence using both IE and Chrome browser. It works using Firefox.

No errors on server side logs.

I finally found the solution. If you access Confluence througth a reverse AJP proxy you have to disable "Compress HTTP Response".

General Configuration -> Feature Settings -> Compress HTTP Responses need to be unchecked.

This fixed my problem.

Any errors on the browser or server side?

The error persists if you access conflence directly by http to tomcat?
