Hello,
This may be trivial... We have setup SAML using "SSO for Confluence" and login using the external IdP works fine.
However, we have not disabled the basic authentication/"Product login form" option yet. Why is that? Well, it seems hard to find any documentation about what happens to the re-authenticate dialog that opens up when accessing the admin-panel.
This dialog to be specific:
Would any body be able to tell how this will work, when only SAML is enabled?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks for watching - it turns out that a backlog/bug was recorded four years ago, here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-60263
I have put a vote for a fix...
Hi Anders,
Just so you know, Server version is no longer supported, so the chances of that bug getting fixed are slim to none. Maybe none to none. Your best bet is going to be migrating to Data Center or Cloud.

Thanks John - we have migrated to DC already.
I was pointed towards this bug (actually recorded as a request) by Atlassian. So, I am sure they know, this needs attention and a fix (for DC).

Awesome! Maybe they will get you fixed up then! Hopefully, they are using that as a holder for DC since they don't really have that open in the JAC.
