Access Question

Alexander Ross April 2, 2014

I have been creating an online version of an academic veterinary book. With the references I have attached papers for viewers to download.

Is there anyway I can make access on two tiers. One with full access, and one whereby downloading these attachments would not be possible?

Thank you kindly for your help.

Alexander

First, I'm afraid you need to move the attachments to a separate space.

Then you set the permissions on your main space to "anyone can read it", and the permissions on the attachments space to "only logged in users who are in group X" can read it.

Finally you put the people who should have full access into group X.

Or, look for a plugin that can hide attachments - I'm not actually sure that there is one though.

Ah thanks Nic. I was hoping there may be a nifty shortcut without having to move all the attachments. It would be a very laborious task!

Thank you

Yes, but can you confirm you're doing this in Confluence?
