Access other organisation's Confluence space

Ådne Brunborg September 17, 2019

A Confluence space is set up for anonymous View access, and this works fine (of course). Everyone on the internet is able to access the space. Or, almost everyone:

When a user outside the organisation is logged in with an Atlassian Cloud account (to access a different organisation's JIRA and Confluence), the following message appears: "Your access has been revoked. Looks like your administrator has marked your account as inactive. "

Is there a setting which will allow this user to access said Confluence space?

Hello @Ådne Brunborg,

Thank you for contacting us. At this time if a user is logged into any Atlassian Cloud account, then they are not considered anonymous.

There's a feature request below to be able to allow anonymous access to logged-in users.

  • CONFCLOUD-30161 Allow unlicensed, authenticated users to have anonymous read-only access

You'll need to have that user log out of their Atlassian ID, or have them open the article in Incognito or Private Browsing mode in their browser.

I hope that's clear, but do let me know if you have any questions about this.

Regards,

Shannon
