Add page label within user macro

Hi

I've looked around... but only found javascript based samples and my programming skills are not good enough to recognise how to properly create a label.

The label name may already exist. If not, it should create it.

Can someone help me instantiating the label parameter in my velocity template?

 #set($dummy = ${action.labelManager.addLabel($content, $label)})
