Adding dropdown in confluence page with value being saved if the page refresh without saving form

Hey i am working on a project in confluence with confiform field defination field type dropdown next to each requirement the confiform dropdown that have 2 option in progress or completed the problem is we dont want to submit the form we just want whatever value i fill for eg

requirement ABC - Inprogress(dropdown)

this value which i selected confiform dropdown stays when we refresh the page but that is not the case the value refreshes to blank when confluence page is refreshed

reason i donot want save button is this is page where we have multiple steps so user which frequently change the status of the requirement so its feasible he can select the value quickly like the task is In-progress or completed.
