Adding @usermention in comments inside PDF doesnt work

We are using confluence server, and inside page we added pdf document. User tries to use comment option of PDF document and whe he tries to use @user mention, it doesn't work.

Previously it worked.

Can you let me know your Confluence version as well as what browsers you're able to use to replicate this problem? If you've only tried one, could you try another as well and confirm if the problem exists in both browsers?

1. Could you confirm your Confluence version, and when this feature last worked? Did you do an update in that time?
2. What is the version of Chrome and Internet Explorer that has the issue? Does the issue persist if you disable all add-ons? 
3. What messages are you seeing in the Confluence server logs when you attempt to mention a user? 
4. Do you see any error messages in the Chrome developer tools logs when you try to do so?
