Admin password does not work after first log-out in Google Chrome.

I went through a 6.15 Confluence installation on a RHEL7 machine, set an admin password and username, but after I logged out once, the password does not work. 

I tried following the instructions to use recover_admin and a temporary password to get access, but this password does not work. 

As a last resort I did a fresh install after wiping the database. I went through the confluence set-up screens and set an admin and another password. This password also does not work after the first log-out. 

EDIT: I tried to log into the admin password with the password set during setting up, and it worked in Firefox 61.0 but does not work in Chrome version 72.0. 

Has anyone had this problem? Why is the password that I set during installation not working in Chrome? Thank you!

I solved this issue by clearing my browsing cache in Chrome.
