Aside from some very basic structural differences between the types of spaces available in Confluence, there doesn't seem to be much difference in actual functionality. Further, it looks like I can link any of these space types to a Jira project (although when linking from Jira it specifically refers to Knowledge Base spaces). Is there any inherent advantage to linking one type of space over another? Our primary use for Confluence is to be a repository of our change ticket documentation. It's not a "knowledge base" per se, because each document will be linked directly to a specific Jira ticket--not a collection of best practices or troubleshooting articles. So, my thinking is that a documentation space would be most relevant, but want to make sure I'm not missing anything, either obvious or subtle, in this calculation.
Hey @Andy Finley, you are correct with your observation! :) The templates/blueprints for spaces are used to provide different starting points such as a customized overview and sidebar, sample content, etc. So the differences are minimal and can always be changed to your liking. The types of blueprints are explained in short here: Create a space from a template
