After running the mitigation script for CVE-2021-26084 all my Comment boxes disappeared

We were unable to fully patch so we decided to run the mitigation script. It seemed to have the effect of disabling the comments box at the bottom of each page.  Is this normal? Are there any other consequences to running this script? There were no indications that this would happen.

This should not happen as the mitigation script is simply updating few files on the server and doesn't touch any other configuration files. The problem could be something else, for example you can check if the comments permissions are granted on the space.
