We're almost halfway through our Premium trial and the only feature we're using is Team Calendar. I can't justify the cost for that feature, especially since it doesn't allow me to set a default calendar set for the team.
Are there usable alternatives? All I want is to publish a calendar rollup.
Not a lot of great alternatives. People on Google for business will use Google Calendars and embed it. Others on O365 do the same thing. There are not really any apps on marketplace for cloud. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?hosting=cloud&product=confluence&query=calendar
There is this suggestion on how to create a roll up calendar on a page. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Can-i-roll-up-multiple-team-calendars-into-1/qaq-p/783903
@Paul Harsha, Atlassian is trying to stick it to us for $30K more just to use the calendar. (they are TAKING AWAY confluence calendar from standard version and forcing people into Premium).
Try this add-on for JIRA; it's not free but does not require premium version of Confluence nor do you need Confluence at all. This may save your co some $$$. Company Calendar seems to be pretty advanced, I spent about an hour checking out its features. So far it looks a lot better than Atlassian's own calendar. https://brizoit.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CCJDOCS/overview
