Any plans to allow attachments in filesystem for clustered Confluence?

Are there any plans to allow attachments to be stored via filesystem rather than database (as is required now) for clustered instances of Confluence? Storing large amounts of data in the database could cause some performance decrease and we would like to do it via filesystem. I've searched for documentation that may indicate whether that is a possiblity but didn't find anything.
