Apache proxy and confluence works with Chrome, but not IE

Morning,

I got Apache 2.4 installed on our Redhat 6.x server (sigh) and got ssl, synchrony, and even appdynamics working.  I thought.  My preferred browser is Chrome.  I then swung over and tried IE, and it lets me login, but then it only shows a title bar and drop down, but clicking on drop down does nothing.  None of the gadgets are showing.  It just does not work.

Anybody have experience with this?  Note that going around Apache server and going to port, even on https works fine, but going through the proxying Apache is where the trouble lies.

On any page I try to access:

First message is about DOM7011: The code on this paged disabled back and forward caching.

Next error is about missing a semi-colon for batch.js, a confluence file.

There is mentions of AJS, and then at the bottom of the developer tools errors a final message:

SEC7115 :visited and :link styles can only differ by color. Some styles were not applied to :visited.

Hi David,

Is there anything in your Internet Explorer Internet Settings that may be overwriting or changing the way it interacts with the Proxy?  We've seen where GPOs applied can impact how IE loads pages and interacts with proxies.  The workaround would be to have your Admins update the policy or use an alternative browser (like Chrome) to bypass the policy.

Cheers,
Shawn
