Hello Community,
This is my first exposure to Atlassian/Confluence.
My project needed a better way to publish its Release Notes so, instead of the old Word documents in a table, I created the notes in a Confluence page. Thing is, the notes don't append. Instead, a new page is created for each release. Still not the most ideal.
What I'd like to do is excerpt portions of content from each of the release note pages and display it on another page (a page called New Features, for instance) in maybe a table or table of contents format.
Someone told me about Confluence's Excerpt and Excerpt Include macros. From what I can tell, I need to add an Excerpt macro (just one) on each new Release Notes page upon creation. Then, on the New Features page, I need to add an Excerpt Include macro (or several macros, depending on what I what I want to include) in order to accomplish what I want.
I read the documentation but was hoping there was a video aid as well. Also, any tips/pointers from the more experienced community would be great. Thanks!
~Cathy
