As there was bug in confluence version 5.10.5 for crowd SSO, so want to upgrade confluence.
Can we update confluence 5.10.5 to 5.10.8 as our expiry date and 5.10.8 release date(19 oct 2016) are same???

It sounds like you're asking about your maintenance renewal date (on Confluence Server.)  Assuming that is correct, you will not be able to change versions without renewing maintenance.  The license is perpetual, but unlimited upgrades only come with active maintenance on the product.
