Hi,
I've heard good things about Atlassian Companion in terms of managing documents attached to Confluence pages.
When I downloaded the app today I got the following message below. When should we expect an update that passes the check so I can use the app?
Hi @Tommy Braas ,
We had a similar issue to this is the past but it should be fixed now. The Atlassian Companion dmg installer is notarized with Apple.
Could I confirm that you downloaded the latest installer from here?
I am also running MacOS Catalina and I don't receive this error. Could you provide the exact OS version? (I am using 10.15.7)
Regards,
Alex K (Developer at Atlassian)
Hi Alex,
Thanks for your reply. The link you provided appears to download the same image as I've retrieved from the Mac download link in the "Download the latest Companion version" box at the top of the page https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/install-atlassian-companion-992678880.html
At least both images have the exact same number of bytes in them.
I'm on 10.15.6, which shouldn't make a difference compared to what you're on.
See attached screen shot.

Hi @Tommy Braas ,
I wonder if your machine has any specific configuration/firewall that is preventing it from contacting Apple's Gatekeeper service. This request is necessary to validate the signature of the application.
If you have admin access for your account, I would suggest manually allowing the application to launch as detailed here.
I have checked that the Companion Mac installer opens successfully on several other co-workers' Catalina devices.
Regards,
Alex K
