Attachment Macro doesn't show list

Tim Savage February 4, 2019

Hello,

For some reason the Attachment Macro doesn't show any of the files that attached to the page.  I want to show a list of all the files attached so that we know at a glance if a file was uploaded. I have included the macro into my page, but even though I have 2 files attached to the page, nothing shows up in the macro.

Please help.

Thanks,

Tim

Here's what I would suggest to start with.

  1. Take a look at the properties of the macro and verify that the "Page title" field is empty. If the page field is empty it looks to the page the macro is on for its attachments.
  2. Look at the "Attachment labels" field and make sure that is empty. If there is a value there then the macro will look for attachments on the page in the "Page title" field with that label. Any other attachments will be ignored.
  3. Verify that your page does indeed have attachments.

@Davin Studer

I was about the issue the same question when I saw this one.  I had the exactly same problem,.  And I am sure space ID is correct, and when I click on the paperclip  icon, there are all my attachments shown there.

After checking the properties of the attachments label, the attachment label is not empty, after I remove that one, the file list show up.

Thanks,

@Tim Savage,

Couple things to try:

  • Edit the attachments macro and confirm it is pointing to the correct space ID (noted in the URL). If this is wrong, correct and save.
  • Click the paperclip icon at the top of the page and see if your files display.
