Attachments on Root Pages

Just checking my understanding, If we create a central page and attach all images to it (for each space) and then make that Image page a root page, Will that allow us to display images on multiple pages but the images will not appear in the search?

We attach images that are used by multiple pages to a sub-page of a root page (which is not the space homepage). These images are found by Confluence search.
