I have a question about a confluence space with comala workflow set up, and links across pages.
Generally across our space, we have quite a few links between the confluence pages. Links in the pages are inserted via the 'copy link' function and 'build page' view.
However, we find that when we have renamed a page, the places where the page in question is referred to are not updated with the new name. This also applies to pages that have been approved, but also if we make a new version of the page and it thus becomes a draft.
When I try in my own personal confluence space, which is not set up for Comala, it works as it should.
Is it comala that blocks the automatic updating of links?
I presume you create inline links where the linked page title is identical to the hyperlinked text.
Are you using Comala Publishing?
The idea is that you'd have your current space (source space) with the workflow and the synced (target) space where the content would be consumed. Only approved pages would be synced, so your target space would always had a perfect link alignment.
Hi @Kristian Klima,
No unfortunately we don't. Do we need to to make it work properly?

Here's how we create links.
Inline format, created just by typing the page name, then selecting the page from the options. Link is introduced by 'To learn more, see PAGE' to ensure it makes sense grammar-wise.
This way, when I change the page title of Module 4, the text under the link will be updated.
It works both for links to pages within the space and a different space.
It also works with Comala Document Approval App. I changed the page title on a linked page that's still in Review, and the change was reflected on the Page Sample 2 page (in the example).
This way of linking also ensures that, if you use Comala Publishing, the links within the Source space will be converted to links withing the Target space.

Comala Workflows can indeed prevent automatic link updates when you rename a page, as approved versions in Comala act as static snapshots. To work around this, try reapproving any page with the updated link name, which should refresh the links across versions.
Alternatively, creating a navigation page that doesn’t rely on specific page names can help minimize this issue. For more frequent renames, some teams use scripts or APIs to handle bulk link updates, so that might be worth exploring.
