Hi,
My name is Jeremy.
I am in charge of the administration of Atlassian products used within my society.
I recently encountered the fact that unlicensed users could not use the search bar in Confluence (Let's see this issue to found out more : https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AI-900)
However, I discovered that these unlicensed users had access to recently viewed pages in Confluence for all the pages they have seen before (See the screenshot below) :
With that particular case, the search bar works correctly, and just like a classic search bar, finally.
There is the point : it would be possible to create an automatism (with rest api or other) to push url's in the BDD fields of recently viewed user's pages or something like that ?
Thank you for your answers and sorry for my approximate english.
Jeremy
Hello @JSM02 Nom-test02 and welcome to the Community.
If I understand correctly, your goal is to allow anonymous users to use the search bar, is that correct?
This is my public space - and the search bar is visible. Users can also 'search by title' above the page tree - at least it appears to me when I view the page in an anonymous browser window.

This is stock, unomodified Confluence.
Hi @Kristian Klima ,
Thank you for your answer and for your kindness.
Sorry for the informations I didn't think to share.
My goal is to make the search bar work for unlicensed users without making my site public.
With Jira Service Management, you can have unlicensed users synchronized with the Active Directory of your society and allow them to use Confluence like a knowledge base.
And unfortunately, the search bar didn't work for them. It's a known issue by Atlassian.
So I try to find an other way to get this feature to work.
Jeremy
