Bug? Confluence replaces a name with a page link "on its own"

Anyone else getting this?  Recently I've noticed that when I have a link to a person's name using the "@" feature in a table (I don't know if being in a table has anything to do with it), if I change the name to something else and save, it replaces the name with a link to the page.  ?   I'm using 6.3.1 FYI.

Yes, it sounds like a bug. The symptoms are similar to those described in Images, attachments, user mentions are broken after changing the BaseURL, fixed in Confluence 6.7.3. Was the Base URL changed?

There are workarounds outlined on the bug report. I look forward to hearing how you fare.
