Two (x2) different users experienced the same problem. We were authoring different pages on Confluence-Cloud on different days.
We went here: https://www.latex4technics.com/ to make some equations. We used right-click and copy-paste to put the equations into a page in Confluence.
When each of us views our own page, each equation (PNG image) looks fine. When we (and others) view each other's pages, all the images are the SAME. In other words, equation #1 is duplicated in place of all the unique equations on the page.
This persists for several days. I can still my own page perfectly and others still see my page as corrupted.
Our pages have full access for all users. Our pages are published with no outstanding drafts.
Solutions?
HI @Brian Catanzaro,
This is very strange indeed. I thought maybe the problem would be within the latex4technics link but since you each can view your own unique equation in your pages that doesn't make sense.
Can you try saving the image on your computer first then uploading it into confluence? Might be a pain but could do the trick.
Let me know if it works.
I suspect that will work just fine. I use that technique extensively.
I think this is a copy-and-paste issue. The images are copied onto the Windows clipboard and then pasted into the Page Editor. I suspect that the database that tracks the images gets mangled by the temporary file names on the clipboard.
If my theory is correct, this is a bug (not a feature). Is there a way to verify this theory?
