I have a restricted space where normal users can only have a view as set in the space permission setting. Can I have a single page inside this restricted space, that they can edit?
Hi,
- Open your space to all.
- do a browse>pages
- create a "public" page from here. It will create a page at the same level than the Home page
- then restrict you home page
So the "public" page will heritate permissions from the space permission and the home page and its childrens will heritate of the home page restriction.
Have a nice day :)
Hello Susanne,
Restrictions on a page can only remove privilidges that already exist. A user must be part of a group that already has edit permissions for a given space in order to edit a page.
A possible work around for you is to place the page you want a user to be able to edit in another space that has a less restrive permissions set. You can then link to this page from your more restricted space which would give the appearance that you are editing a page within that space.
Please let is know if that makes sense for you.
