Can I select which video player to launch?

I am trying to add a video onto a Confluence page. Is there a way to control which Player to launch. At present, it launches QuickTime. I want it to launch Windows Media Player. Both are installed on my computer. The file format is mp4 - and that is associated with WMP in Windows Explorer. So it seems very odd to me that Confluence launches QuickTime.

I think this is handled by the browser. Here is a link that might help to make WMP default for the browser:
