Can I set document level permissions in confluence?

Nischal Sharma April 11, 2019

I have a particular document in a space. I want only certain people who have permission to view everything in the space to be able to view this particular document. Is it possible?

To give more context, I am creating a space for my team where I will document all our team resources, meetings and reviews. I will give everyone in the space the permission to view all documents. Just to make my life easy I would like to keep my team's performance review documents also in this space for easy access but I would obviously want only the specific people to be able to view the document and not everyone in the space. Can I set up document level permissions in Confluence?

Hi Nischal,

You can control view access on a specific space by adding Restrictions to a page, which are great for limiting view access for personal information as your use case describes.

For usage info, see Restrictions see Add or Remove Page Restrictions. To see how restrictions interact with other types of permissions in Confluence, see Permissions and Restrictions.

I hope this helps!
