Is there a way to share documents with external users (customers) without creating a license for them?

Hi Fleur,

Welcome to the community.

There are two ways to do this. The first is to create a public space so that all users on the internet, including your customers, can access the content. Note that your Confluence instance will also need to have anonymous access enabled, so you should audit all of your other spaces before allowing anonymous access.

If this is not an option, then it is worthwhile having a look at the External Share for Confluence (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1220562/external-share-for-confluence?hosting=cloud&tab=overview) marketplace app to solve your problem.

Hi @Fleur.deVries

I think there are two options for you:

  1. Share a print version (Export Word / PDF / HTML and XML )
  2. Make the space public for everyone (Grant anonymous access)

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Regards, Dominic
