Can not copy table after inserting a value

Stefan E April 6, 2018

I am posting this here because I was not able to create an issue in your issue tracker.

I am able to mark and copy an unaltered table in jira confluence:

However, once I edited the table, e.g. inserted a new value in a cell, I am not able to select and copy it any more:

Insted of the expected blue selection that marks the whole table, only some cells are marked.

Work around: If I save and reopen the article, the selection is working again.

I use Confluence 6.7.2

Hi Stefan,

I tried on a test instance and could not reproduce the issue you are reporting:

Tables may be selected and copied when first editing but after adding content to the table it is no longer selectable unless you save and re-edit. (Please let me know whether that's accurate)

To help us investigate please let me know:

  • Are you using the mouse or keyboard to select the table?
  • How was the table originally generated?
  • If you create a new table on a test page, does the same behavior occur?
  • Does it matter what browser you use?

Thanks,

Ann

Hello Ann,

thank you for asking back. Your description is accurate and since you could not reproduce the issue I updated Firefox from Version 52.73 to the current version 59.02.

That resolved the mouse selection issue for me.

Sunny regards,

Stefan

That's sunny news on a Monday, thanks for getting the day off to a good start by updating the thread and providing closure. :)
