In order to insert special characters (like German or French quotation marks, which we need for our translations), you need to always click Insert > Symbols and choose the right symbol or character you want to insert. This can be quite tedious and time-consuming if there are many terms in quotation marks. Is it possible to insert such characters via keyboard shortcuts into the Rich Text Editor to save time?

You could also use alt codes. At least on Microsoft Windows, it is possible to insert the special style quotation marks by pressing Right Alt and 174 or 175 on the number keypad (on the right side of the keyboard).
Does it really work in confluence and how? When I press the key combination in Edit mode nothing happens (except that the screen is tilted 90°)
