Can't edit text

I just started using JIRA today.

I am editing the description of my issue.  I have a code block.  Working on Mac app.

At various times the following are happening:

• I type a hyphen "-".  The editor scrolls to another part of the text.
• I type a line break while in the code block.  The editor does not insert a new line.
• I use COMMAND + Left to try to jump to the beginning of the line.  Nothing happens.  It works.
• I use COMMAND + Up to try to jump to the top.  The cursor moves but it does not scroll.
• While in a code block, I type the up arrow, to move to the line above.  Nothing happens.

What the heck?  I'm gonna have to use this professionally...  This is a nightmare waiting to happen.
