Can we automate to restart confluence application when it is down

Is there any way to automate the confluence applications to restart automatically when ever it is down.

Yes, you do that at the operating system level though - you need to set up something that can monitor it and issue a restart command.

However, this would be "plastering over the cracks".  It's the wrong thing to do.

If your service is stopping without you telling it to, then you should be investigating that, with a view to fixing the thing that is breaking it.  As a service, Confluence is built to be run constantly, only having being stopped for upgrades and maintenance.  It should not be stopping without a human telling it to.

Is there any resources related to it so that I can refer? Already have monitor setup using AppDynamics for monitoring the confluence and machine.

You will need to look to how your operating system starts or restarts services.

But you should not be doing that, you need to look at why Confluence is stopping.
