Can you customize link icons?

It seems like you can only turn link icons on and off. It would be great to only show link icons to 3rd party sites, or to be able to update the icons themselves. Is this possible?

I believe that's possible, but for that, I suggest that you contact an Atlassian Partner, since is a customization.
