Cannot Place a Reply to a comment from initial Comment

For a couple weeks now I have been unable to reply to someone else's reply to an original comment. 

It used to work in Firefox, now it does not. It does not work in Chrome (80% of the time).

@omaracrystal , I am assuming that this issue is no longer present. From your description it seems like this may have been a browser in her office you which I have seen from time to time. If you found a specific solution please share it here.
