Cannot create new space

When trying to create a new space we see the message

"An unknown server error has occurred."

Looking at the logs I don't see similar message as described here

pages can be created with no problem.

Does anyone have any ideas how we can fix this.

On the article that you provided, since the logs are similar, did you run the SQL to ensure that it was not the issue?
