Change a language to English

It's not possible to change language.

i logon as administrator and change language to English and restart services on mt ubuntu.

it's not working.

I want to change language globally, not for my profile. HOW?

You  can  change  language globally or   just  for  your own  profile,

if you change language globally, it will  affect  all  users,  but if you  change  language  from  your user profile,  this  will  affect only  your profile, that is it  will  override the default language.  Please  see how to  do  it  here  Change language  Changing language from  user profile does  not need confluence  restart.

Now having  stated  that you  have tried   changing  language and it doesn't work,

Note  that  your changes  will only affect users if their browser does not send a language to Confluence, or if language detection is turned off by setting the confluence.browser.language.enabled property to false.

when you enable properties this should eventually  fix  the problem.
