Changing appearance of names in Task List

When you are assigning a task, you need to start to type a person's first name until the pull-down shows you some matches. From then on, the task is referenced by a user's full name.

Is there any way to change the appearance of full names in the task lists and pages to become initials, emails, or some other attribute from users' profiles?

I couldn't find any feature request for this yet. I believe it's not possible at the moment. You may want to raise a new feature request at jira.atlassian.comand ask other colleagues to vote and watch the feature request to increase popularity.
