Hi,
We are moving our directory services from LDAP to Active Directory. When I disable the ldap (old) service the ldap users are also remove from local groups on confluence which will cause issues with permissions. I wondering if there is a way around this issue. Can I move these users to confluence internal directory? How can I do it and will this fixed the issue, or are there another solution that I can use????
Many Thanks for any help you can provided.
Regards
Jaime
Hi Jaime,
There isn't enough information to be sure that it'll work, but depending on your Confluence version and some details in your environment, it may be easier just edit the current LDAP settings in Confluence and point it to your AD.
This configuration has potential to work if the usernames in your AD are identical as the username in your old LDAP. You can see more details on how to edit the LDAP setting in Confluence latest version in this documentation.
I hope it helps.
Cheers

I believe Comasseto is right, because I've heard that some other customers that moved from LDAP to AD worked fine because the users simply have the same username.
