Comala Workflows

Teri June 4, 2019

I just started using Comala Workflows and I am wanting to take either a draft or an unpublished change through a workflow pipeline and then publish once all reviews are complete. It appears you have to do the following: For a new page: create a new page and update your changes (aka publish it) and then proceed to run the workflow 2) Existing pages: Click edit and updated your changes and then run it through the workflow. I am wanting to keep all changes in a draft mode to be able to run the workflow. Is this possible?

Hi @Teri ,

Unfortunately you can't run a workflow on an unpublished page. One common work around is to use Confluence's page restrictions to hide the page from view until it is approved, then Workflows can automatically remove the restrictions. Let me know if this would meet your needs and I can provide some more detailed instructions. Hope this helps!

In a word, no. The workflow states are triggered either off of new versions of a page being created, or by user interaction (from the page view).
