Confiforms Autonumber macro Duplicates

I have a form with an Autonumber Confiforms macro used to create a unique ID for record collection. This form is used by many people and at times we've noticed that the Autonumber itself is duplicating but not the actual record details. 

To elaborate, Analyst 1 inputs their data and Analyst 2 does the same. The data details are unique and create confiform table records as such, however they both will share the same value for the unique ID which is driven from the Autonumber macro. 

This doesn't happen all the time. In fact, it's very infrequent and when it does occur, the records are in sequence and created times vary within a few minutes of each other. 

Is there a fix for this? Am I using that field inappropriately?

Are you saying that the internal record ID and therefor the number generated with autonumber field are not unique?

Could you please open a support ticket with us and share the form's configuration as well as the RAW export of your data from the form (please remove any sensitive information you form's dataset may have)

have you tried to contact the vendor of Confiforms? It sounds like a bug for me...
