Confleunce - Draft was not saved and 'issues connecting to server' errors

In confluence I cannot save a new page. I can only open one by clicking on create, but once editing I cannot select the location or use the 'insert more content' function to add things like a code block or expandable.

If I try to do so by copying these objects from other confluence pages, the copying works but I can then not edit the item so it matches the page I want to create.

I keep getting messages saying that my 'draft was not saved' and that there are 'issues connecting to the server'. I can also not save the page I am creating.

I logged out and back into confluence, restarted my browser (chrome), used another browser (firefox) and restarted my computer.

This problem only affects one user of many, but says network connection is fast etc

Collaborative editing is disabled.

Any ideas welcome

What error message is displayed in the confluence log file when the save outputs an error?
