Does anyone know if Confluence 7.3.3 or 7.3.4 actually work on CentOS 8.1? I have tried each of these on fresh Linux builds and get nothing at all on http://localhost:8090 .
I have had no problems with 7.3.2 or older versions on Linux and Windows.
Hi Myron,
from supported platforms I see no indication why Confluence 7.3 should not work on a CentOS 8.1. I am pretty sure the problem with the not loading Confluence is not directly connected to the version number.
In case there is something meaningful logged in application log this could be a first hint where to start from with diagnosis.
My idea would also be to review system logs, just in case something with the 'base setup', the operating system changed - some traps like running out of disk space and such.
Cheers,
Daniel
Thanks.
There were multiple installation steps I needed to do. The first one was to allow port 8090 in the CentOS firewalld
firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-port=8090/tcp --permanent
firewall-cmd --reload
firewall-cmd --list-all
